description: This overland tour will give its members a chance
to experience the real Mongolia, meet the natives at every stop,
experience the hospitality of mongolian people, get to know their
everyday life .
Day
1 (June 28) Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar you will be
transferred to your hotel. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner
at the hotel.
Day
2 (June29) After breakfast go on the city tour of Ulaanbaatar.
Visit to Museum of Natural History (the greatest display of dinosaur
skeletons in the world), Gandantechilen Hiid Monastery, the biggest
functioning Buddhist monastery in Ulaanbaatar. Return to
your hotel.
Day
3(June 30)Drive to BayanGobi (4 hours) or Fly directly to
Karakorum. Explore the natural beauty of the land where sand dunes
and high mountains are in one spot, hiking in Hognokhaan mountain,
visit the ruins of the hidden temple, which is being reconstructed,
trekking in the sand-dunes.
Day
4(July 1) Onward travel to Kharkhorin (4hours)-the ancient
capital of Mongols. Visit the Erdenezuu Monastery-Museum. Stay
in the hotel or tent-camp on the coast of Orkhon river.

5 (July 2) Drive to Orkhon waterfall over rocky and bumpy
roads). Picnic. Visit a yak breeders family. Enjoy the taste of
yak milk tea and yak milk curds. Yak riding.
Day
6-7 (July 3-4) After breakfast onward travel to Bayanhongor
province. Visit to Shargaljuut Hot Springs. Healing power of this
spring cures many diseases.
Day
8 (July 5) Drive towards South Gobi. This is the land you
will encounter very few or almost no people or vehicles. Enjoy
the quiet and isolation.
Day
9(July 6) In South Gobi you will stay in a ger camp. After
breakfast drive to the Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag) the graveyard
of dinosaurs, where dinosaur eggs are still being found nowadays.
Picnic.
Day
10-11(July 7-8) Drive to Yol Valley. Frozen stream in the
middle of the desert. Hiking and exploring the wildlife of Gobi
desert. Visit a camel-breeders family. Camel riding trip
(1 day-optional).

12 (July 9) Back to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight stay in Middle
Gobi. Ger camp.
Day
13 (July 10) Continue to Ulaanbaatar.
Arrive in the afternoon. Free afternoon.
Day
14 (July 11) Naadam
festival starts. Opening ceremony at the main stadium. Watch national
wrestling competiton (512 participants) and archery. After lunch
go to horse-race, all afternoon there. In the evening attend public
dance party on Sukhbaatar Square (optional). Fireworks.
Day
15 (July 12 ) Visit to Bogd Khaan Winter Palace Museum. Visit
the Naadam participants and their families from countryside at
their encampment. Cultural Folk performance in the evening.

16(July13) Depart.
