THE REINDEER HERDER EXPEREINCE (HUVSGUL 7 DAYS)

Itinerary

Day 1. Fly to Moron. Pick-up from Moron airport and drive to Ulaan Uul som/district 212km. Visit to "Darkhad Shamaan's 13 Ovoo" on the hill of Ol. Climb "Soyo" mountain for a  fantastic view of surrounding mountains.

Day 2. Drive to "Tsaatan" tourist resort in Tsagaan Nuur som/district. This is the area of the reindeer herder people known as the Tsaatan. Wander about on a horse, play the game "Shagai" or taste the natural alcoholic drink "Arkhi" made from horses milk. Overnight in the resort.

Day 3. Trek by horse to Joshim Lake. Arrive at the lake  and build the "Ovookhoi" (teepee) using the traditional  method of the reindeer herder tribes. Fishing in the  Joshim Lake. Overnight in the "Ovookhoi".

Day 4-5. Trekking by horse. Visit a family of the reindeer herder  tribes living nearby.  Experience the original style of life, taste reindeer milk and yoghurt. Return to the "Ovookhoi" to overnight.

Day 6. Transfer to Moron airport. Moron hotel.

Day 7. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar

Price Includes: All transportation between tour cities in Mongolia by air, bus, or rail; Mongolian invitation. Accomodations and three meals per day at double occupancy. National and local guides.

Does not include international airfare or travel to Mongolia, arrival or departure taxes, visa, baggage overweight charges, or tips and gratuities for the drivers, local guides, porters and the national guide, $40.00 wire transfer fee. Does not include first or last night's accomodations or meals in Ulaanbaatar.
