12-day Beijing Xi’an Guilin Shanghai

Day 01: Beijing (No meals)

Arrive in Beijing. Travelers are warmly welcomed at the International airport and transferred to your hotel.

Forbidden City

Day 02: Beijing   (B/L/D)

Visit the Tian’anmen Square, the largest city-center square in the world. From the square, visitors enter the gate of the Forbidden City. This massive complex, the setting for film “the Last Emperor” was the center of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a visit to the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Enjoy Peking Roast Duck Dinner in the evening.

 

Great Wall

Day 03: Beijing (B/L/D)

Today we visit the Great Wall in the morning. It’s the proud of Chinese and truly one of the most amazing man-made constructions which traverses the northern China mountainous area for thousands of miles. After lunch, we will drive to the Ming Tomb area for a visit.

Day 04: Beijing

Take a Hutong Tour, which includes a visit to one of the local families. After lunch we head to the northwest outskirts of Beijing where we will stroll through the Summer Palace, one of China’s grandest imperial gardens with its present outline created under Qing emperor Qianlong from 1749 to 1764.

Day 05: Beijing - Xi’an (B/L/D)

Take a morning flight to China’s ancient capital Xi’an in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the fascinating Ancient City Wall, the only complete city wall extant in China, and the Big Goose Pagoda, built in 652 in the Tang Dynasty to safely keep the 657 volumes of Buddhist scriptures. Enjoy the Tang Daynasty Singing & Dance show in the evening.

Day 06: Xi’an - Guilin (B/L/D)

The Terra Cotta Warriors excavation site has three pits contain more than 7,300 warriors, horses, and chariots that were crafted more than 2,000 years ago in honor of China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang. After lunch, visit the Banpo Neolithic Village. Transfer to the airport for an afternoon flight to Guilin.

Day 07: Guilin-Yangshuo-Guilin (B/L/D)

Take a cruising tour along the Li River downstream to Yangshuo. Drive back to Guilin in the evening.

Longsheng Terrace

Day 08: Guilin - Longsheng (B/L/D)

Drive to visit the Longsheng scenic spots: Dragon Backbone Terrace Field and Huangluoyao Village.

Day 09: Guilin - Shanghai (B/L/D)

Visit the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill in the morning. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon for the flight from Guililn to Shanghai. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to a hotel.

Shanghai

Day 10: Shanghai (B/L/D)
Go to visit the Jade Buddha Temple where there are two Buddha, the Sitting Buddha and the Recumbent Buddha which are carved with whole white jade. Then go to Yu Garden for a visit It is a famous classical garden which was finished in 1577 by a government officer of the Ming Dynasty. In the afternoon, go to visit the Children’s Palace and the Bund. Enjoy the Acrobatic Show in the evening.

Day 11: Shanghai (B/L/D)

Tour to Shanghai Museum in the morning. Free on your own in the afternoon at shopping street of Nanjing Road.

Day 12:  Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer for departure flight.
