Full Service Independent Travel Means:

Our services include the following: Transfer from airport or train to hotel
upon arrival: Hotel accommodations in 3 star or better (Bayangol or Genghis
Khan): Services of driver and guide/interpreter on your trip to the
countryside; vehicle, entrance tickets to all programmed sites; three meals
per day, ger and/or tent accommodations as called for by the itinerary.
Transfer back to airport or train for departure.

We will arrange any trip you desire within Mongolia. We are a low volume
operation and have no paid staff. We welcome inquires from individuals,
small groups, and travel agents. We will help you to put together your
desired itinerary and get a price for you.

fix on the tour you would most like to take. Then contact us for a quote.

PRICES:

In 2006 the median price per day per person for travel/tour outside of Ulaanbaatar arranged by our Mongolian partners is about $120-$150 per day
per person. The price increases or decreases with the number of people in the tour group.

Add round trip air (to south, west, north) of between $150-$300 depending upon the destination.

You can make a rough or ball park calculation of your tour price outside of Ulaanbaatar by multiplying the number of days on tour by the price per day.

COMMISSION:

UBF charges its customers NET plus 3%. The minimum commission is $50 for
the first person and 3% per person thereafter. There is a bank wire charge
of $40 per group.

VISAS: US citizens do not normally need a visa to enter Mongolia.

MONGOLIAN PARTNERS:

UBF books its tour either through Blue Sky Travel or Monkhutuch Travel, both of which are located in the capital, Ulaanbaatar.

Blue Sky Travel is directed by Mr. Otgonbat (Augi) and Monkhutuch by Ms. Altantuya (Tuya). UBF has been partners with both companies since 1992. The
companies were founded as one entity in 1991 by two principles, Khokhoo and Avirmed. Both worked for the Zuulchin Travel Company in Mongolia for many years as chief of interpreters and chief of mountain or hunting guides. Augi is the son-in-law of Khokhoo, and Tuya is the daughter of Avirmed.

GUIDES:

Guides are not normally experts in the history or geography or religion of the country. They are usually students and are more interpreters than
guides. If you wish a special expert guide please request that.

PEOPLE WHO WISH TO TRAVEL INDIVIDUALLY OR IN SMALL GROUPS, AT A TIME AND TO PLACES IN MONGOLIA WHICH THEY THEMSELVES CHOOSE. WE DO NO ADVERTISING AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COLLECT OR FORM UP TRAVEL GROUPS. WE HAVE NO PAID STAFF AND PAY NO RENT. SINCE THERE IS NO OVERHEAD WE PASS THE SAVINGS ON TO YOU.
